Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about mobile security trailer rental in Chicago and Northern Illinois.

How much does a mobile security trailer rental cost?

The rental price is $2,950 per trailer per month, with 24/7 professional monitoring included. License plate recognition adds $500 per trailer per month. A $5,000 minimum rental charge applies, sales tax is extra, and new clients pay a deposit equal to the first month's rental. The written quote confirms the total.

How does the $5,000 minimum rental charge work?

Every rental carries a $5,000 minimum total charge, unless an approved quote states otherwise. It is met by the length of the rental, the amount of equipment rented, or both. One trailer at $2,950 a month passes it in the second monthly billing cycle; two trailers pass it in the first. If a rental ends before the charges reach $5,000, the difference is due on the final invoice.

How long can I rent a trailer, and how do I end the rental?

There is no fixed term. Rentals renew month to month in billing cycles that start on the delivery date. Either side can end the rental with 30 days' written notice; it then ends at the end of the billing cycle after the one in which notice was given. Rent is charged in full billing cycles and is not prorated. Billing stops on the scheduled end date, even if the trailer has not been picked up yet. A shorter rental, such as a weekend, is available when the written quote sets that term; the $5,000 minimum rental charge still applies.

What deposit and payment terms apply?

New clients pay a deposit equal to the first month's rent before drop-off. The deposit pays for the first month; it is not held and refunded later. From the second month, invoices are issued monthly in advance and are due net 15. You can pay by credit card, check, ACH, or wire transfer.

Do you rent security trailers near me, and where do you deliver?

Complete Security Rental serves Chicago and Northern Illinois. There is no delivery, setup, or pickup fee anywhere in Chicagoland. There is no fixed delivery radius; a site outside our usual area gets its own quote.

How much space does a security trailer need?

Very little. The trailer is a compact unit, not a full-size cargo trailer. It can sit on any level surface, including pavement, gravel, or dirt; we do not recommend placing it on a slope. Most units are placed on private property.

How do I confirm whether a security trailer is available for my site?

Availability and deployment dates depend on the site, selected configuration, requested term, and unit availability. The written quote confirms the proposed schedule.

What equipment can be configured on a rental trailer?

A rental trailer includes IP cameras with infrared night vision, a talk-down speaker, police-style strobe lights, recording, remote viewing, cloud recording, solar power and batteries, and cellular data. Professional monitoring is included, and Chicagoland delivery, setup, configuration, and removal are included; sales tax is extra.

Is monitoring included, and how does it work?

Professional monitoring is included in the $2,950 monthly rental price and is available 24/7. You choose the camera zones and the hours when monitoring is active. When a person or vehicle is detected in a zone during those hours, the monitoring center can give a loudspeaker warning or dispatch police, depending on how you set it up. Police response is subject to verification and local procedures.

How quickly does someone review an alert, and will I be notified?

During active monitoring hours, a person at the monitoring center typically reviews an alert within about a minute, often within seconds. That is typical, not a guaranteed response time. You also get alerts in the mobile app, and the monitoring center can call you if you want.

Can I view my security cameras remotely?

Yes. Remote viewing is included on every rental: you can watch live and recorded video on a phone or computer, and cloud recording is included too.

How long is video kept, and can I get clips for police or insurance?

About 30 days of recording is kept at no extra charge. Longer retention, for security records or time-lapse video, is available for an added fee. You can view and save clips in the app, or ask us to export them; exports for you, the police, or your insurer are free.

Who is responsible if a trailer is damaged or stolen?

Normal wear and tear is our responsibility. Theft, vandalism, or other damage while the trailer is at your site is the client's responsibility, so take reasonable precautions and report any incident right away. We may ask for a certificate of insurance naming VBTronics, Inc. as additional insured. The rental agreement sets out the full terms.

How do solar-powered security trailers work during Chicago winters?

Rental trailers include solar power and batteries. The written quote confirms the configuration for the site.

Are solar power and cellular data included?

Rental trailers include solar power, batteries, and cellular data. The written quote confirms the configuration for the site.

Can license plate recognition be added?

Yes. License plate recognition adds $500 per trailer per month. Plate-read results are not guaranteed.

What happens if rental equipment needs service?

Support for rented equipment is handled under the rental agreement. Contact Complete Security Rental if a unit needs attention; the agreement and site circumstances determine the service response.

Do mobile security trailers meet Builder's Risk insurance requirements?

Requirements vary by policy and carrier. We can describe the quoted equipment and monitoring hours and provide available incident or monitoring records. Your broker or carrier must confirm whether that configuration satisfies the policy.

Is a mobile surveillance trailer the same as a security camera trailer or security camera tower?

Yes. “Mobile surveillance trailer,” “security camera trailer,” and “security camera tower” are alternate names for the same mobile security trailer rental.

Do you also rent indoor security cameras?

Yes. For the inside of a building, such as a warehouse or a vacant unit, we rent a monitored indoor surveillance unit with zoom cameras, deterrent lights and a siren, and its own cellular connection. Installation is included, and indoor units are quoted for each site. See indoor security camera rental for details.

Can I buy a mobile security trailer?

Yes. Rental remains the primary service, and purchase configurations are available as a secondary option starting at $25,000. Use the purchase inquiry option on the contact form for a written configuration.

Who provides Complete Security Rental?

VBTronics, Inc. is the provider; Complete Security Rental is its service name. VBTronics, Inc. holds Illinois alarm contractor license #127.001886.
